MusicFi is built around a simple idea: your music is yours. The app runs on your iPhone or iPad and talks to devices and services you choose — most of which sit on your own local network. This page explains exactly what data the app touches and where it goes.

1. What we collect

MusicFi has no accounts, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no third-party crash-reporting service, and no automatic telemetry. We do not track you and we do not build a profile of you. The only information that ever reaches us is a diagnostic report that you choose to send manually when reporting a problem (see "Diagnostics you choose to send" below). Nothing is collected in the background.

2. Data that stays on your device

The following is stored locally on your iPhone/iPad and never leaves it unless you explicitly share it:

3. Data sent over your local network

Standard UPnP/DLNA communication: SSDP discovery, SOAP control requests, and HTTP streaming to/from servers and renderers on your LAN. This traffic does not leave your network.

4. Third-party services

MusicFi calls the following services only when you use the relevant feature:

None of these calls include any personal identifier beyond what is technically required (e.g. the track title for lyrics lookup). MusicFi does not maintain any persistent user identifier.

5. Diagnostics you choose to send

MusicFi has a "Send Diagnostics" button (in Settings) for reporting playback problems. It is strictly manual — nothing is ever sent automatically or in the background. When you tap it, the app uploads:

This report is sent to a diagnostics service we operate, hosted with a reputable third-party cloud provider acting as our data processor. It contains no account, no name, no email, no advertising identifier, and no persistent user identifier — we cannot tie a report to you personally. We use these reports solely to diagnose and fix bugs, and we delete them once they are no longer needed for that purpose. If you would rather not send anything, simply don't use the button; every feature of the app works without it.

6. Purchases & subscriptions

MusicFi Pro and MusicFi Plus are sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment processing and subscription management is handled by Apple — MusicFi never sees your card number, billing address, or Apple Account details. The app only reads your current entitlement status from Apple (StoreKit) on your device to unlock features; that status stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can manage or cancel a subscription anytime in Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions.

7. Permissions the app requests

8. Children

MusicFi does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

9. Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change.
